Documentation
In
using/windows.html#the-microsoft-store-package
the current description of the Windows Store package describes writing to TEMP as having special behaviours. The packaging is broader than this, writes to well-known Windows folders, including TEMP and APPDATA, LOCALAPPDATA are redirected.
The documentation should explain this better, as the link to the external Microsoft Docs doesn't explain it either.
There are also workarounds, like using
os.path.realpath
and disabling aliases.PR to follow
