Single cluster installation

Hi.
It is possible to use this controller with only one cluster? If so is necessary to install the operator in agent or dispatcher mode ?

The controller is running it register both creation and deletion of the given object but no pods are spun up

@av98-alphonse thanks for reporting this I think that there are two issues that combined in this:

1. A documentation bug, we need to update the docs to include more relevant examples of appwrappers.
2. There's a bug in the code which we'll need track, the log messages you shared point towards that.

Mean while, what happens if you submit any of the app wrappers found in the test/yaml directory ?

Hello @z103cb I have tried to submit multiple tests all of these obtained the same result (similar to the previous one)
Just to be sure for single cluster install is necessary any sort of "config" file? I've installed the operator using Flux with no customizations except to point to the quay.io repository (main-v1.32).

Thank you for clarifying how you have deployed the controller. There might be some lingering issues in MCAD, I will continue to investigate further. I am afraid that some of the default values for MCAD are putting into an incorrect state, resulting in the behaviour you are reporting.

To answer your question, you'll need to deploy the controller using the GitHub provided helm chart. The instructions can be found here: doc/deploy/deployment.md.

Hello @z103cb . I've tried to follow these instructions, but these two last parameters of the helm-chart is not clear what are "good" values for them:

--set localConfigName=<Local Kubernetes Config File for Current Cluster>  --set volumes.hostPath=<Host_Path_location_of_local_Kubernetes_config_file>

What config file? Is this a kubeconfig file ? If is this correct is necessary to have on every node (hostpath) a kubeconfig file ?
