"npm deprecate" doesn't seem to work anymore

I'm a beginner with npm and I just using
npm deprecate [email protected] "the package is deprecated" It can be run successfully.
But when I use npm deprecate [email protected] ""
it doesn't seem to work. I've cleared the cache, but it still doesn't work. please help me.
