Terminals do not autoactivate when using workspace .conda environment

Behaviour

An error occurs when selecting the python interpreter for a conda enviroment in the current workspace (.conda). It prevents terminals from autoactivating, terminals will then open with the base environment. Possibly due to different use of local vs global paths.

This issue does not occur when using a named environment which is placed in C:\Users\User.conda\envs. However, ".conda" environments are not placed there! See logs below.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new conda environment in the current workspace (.conda)
2. Wait until the error appears in the Python Output panel.

Extension use wrong command conda run -n .conda to activate, so it can not find local conda.

@louis-br This is caused by microsoft/python-environment-tools#184

There are 2 possible work arounds:
Option 1 : Try adding "python.condaPath": "<path to conda executable>" (in your user settings) and run "Python: Clear Cache and Reload command" . Since you add this to your user settings you have to do this once on a machine that you use. This is temporary until the issue is fixed.
Option 2 : If option 1 did not work (or if you can't set it) you can add this "python.locator": "js" to your user settings. Run "Python: Clear Cache and Reload command". The reason this is a second recommendation is because this is being phased out.

As a workaround, for the time being I think I will use named conda environments instead, created manually with conda commands. Like so:

conda create -n example_project python=3.11
