Investigated this but dont see why this should fail.. Unless something else went wrong? This is the only place that gets it for the configured projects: https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript/blob/master/src/server/editorServices.ts#L1984 and is set as part of https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript/blob/master/src/server/editorServices.ts#L2034 and https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript/blob/master/src/compiler/commandLineParser.ts#L2289 shows that typeacquisition is always object.

So to invesitgate what really happened, we would need server logs to see what went wrong.
