I copied the proper BIOS files and neccd.sys driver and created the config.sys file. Then I am met with the message that MSCDEX on autoexec.bat is a bad command
No big deal as I mount the CD-ROM from the GUI and also set an empty PC98 directory for mount C command.
But CD-ROM has only 2 directories, PAC and PCM. It seems, PCM has the cd audio and music data and PAC the game data
From that point on I am lost and do not know how to proceed.
I read about hdi and fdi files. Do I have to create them manually? How do I do this? Do I have to copy the CD-ROM contents there?
The PAC folder does not even have an executable file.
Are the hdi and fdi files obtainable from elsewhere? Because all the CD-ROM games of PC-98 have only cue/bin files.
While the PC-9801 games have separate FD and HD files.
Are PC-9801 and PC-98 the same system?
Do I have to install the PC98 OS first and install the game via there?

Sorry for asking but guides are very vague for beginners, same for Retroarch and other emulators but at least Dosbox seems to be more straightforward
Eg in the case of Policenauts I follow the guide
