Jim Marino A catalog replication protocol and participant discovery in a dataspace are two separate issues. Discovery is out of scope, and it is dataspace specific, as there are many different ways to accomplish this. A catalog replication protocol is not needed because all interactions in DSP are, by design, bipartite - the consumer contacts the provider directly. There are no third-party brokers or intermediaries. Jim |

Hello,
At https://eclipse-dataspace-protocol-base.github.io/DataspaceProtocol/2025-1/#replication-protocol
it is said it is not needed a replication protocol but how one can deal with the use case where a data consumer only knows the characteristics of the Dataset, including the type, schema or coverage of data, but does not know a priori who the data provider is?
Thank you for your hints
