Issue Summary

  • Gitpod Changed the underlying Python environment behaviour.
  • Gitpod prebuilds were installing dependencies in a local environment which was not persisted across sessions

Solution

  • Revert the changes in the underlying gitpod environment by adding the pip install path & flag to install dependencies in user space
