A solution is change css from:

  .md-input-wrapper {
    margin: 16px 0;
  }

  .md-hint {
    ...
    bottom: -0.5em;
    ...
  }

To:

  .md-input-wrapper {
    margin: 16px 0 22px 0;
  }

  .md-hint {
    ...
    bottom: 0;
    ...
  }
