This PR cleans up release dependencies so all we are depending on is
binaryenandlong, which both don't have dependencies on their own and are controlled by us. While not ultimately necessary, this reduces the surface area for what can go wrong to a minimum and makes installing the package as fast as it gets.Also incorporates #947.
