Is sh = function... even working?

I checked docs and found this example:

What i now try to do:

          sh = function()
            local filename = vim.fs.basename(vim.api.nvim_buf_get_name(0))
            -- Exclude .env* files
            if string.match(filename, '^%.env.*') then
              return false
            end
            -- Exclude .key files
            if string.match(filename, '.*%.key$') then
              return false
            end
            -- Exclude .pub files
            if string.match(filename, '.*%.pub$') then
              return false
            end
            -- Exclude .git-credentials file
            if string.match(filename, '%.git%-credentials') then
              return false
            end

            return true
          end

I cannot understand why, but it still works only for .env files.. I tested conditions manually on appropriate files, regexes are correct. Any idea why it can be not working? Ty so much

ok.. im stupid little bit. I see now, vim classifies .env as sh filetype. Thats why that example from docs works , and it disables plugin for e.g. .env , but not disablees for test.sh. Anyway i still wanna know how to exclude files i listed
