Good news and bad news : we can download medias in videojs object/netu tv but we can't preview these streams with Potplayer or vlc

Hi, Thank you so much fr the new great new versions of Cat Catch specially amazing support of videojs obkect ! 💯 🥇

because great Cat Catch extension added media support of the VideoJS object/netu tv after my request, but let's remember important step : we have to click on the "search" button in the pop-up panel and restart playback, we can download videojs obect media but there's no video playback with PotPayer preview feature using Cat Catch sadly with videojs object/netu tv streams ... :

also i have made same request to Open in vlc extension to support previe of videojs object/netu tv , and Open in vlc make today new commit to add videojs object spport and

so i decide to test the new version without waiting for it to be available in the stores, i enable developer mode in chromium and i click on load as unpackced/v3 folder and i test with this netu tv/ videojs object link, but sadly

i have this message in Open in vlc:
Access to the specified native messaging host is forbidden.

also i see cmd pop-up (i have installed yt-dlp special plugin in vlc and i put the plugin in os path)......

and sadly there is no video in Vlc......so same problem with the preview feature of the Cat Catch extension : there is no video playback with vlc or PotPayer preview feature of Open in vlc extension.....

Well, it seems difficult or impossible, to preview VideoJS Object since the two most powerful media players on the planet have failed.....

so I made this post for informational purposes...

and maybe in the future VLC or PotPlayer will be able to play this kind of complex links...

that's why please I'd just like technical confirmation that the problem comes only from the media players and not from the extension before contacting the developers of PotPlayer and VLC Player to inform them about this issue, thanks a lot !

Update :

Mr Andy the develper of Mr Open in vlc tells me :

"you need to add the extension id to the list of supported extensions and reinstall the native client."

i install the new version of native client after uninstall pevious version and restart os, i have this message :

Specified native messaging host not found

si i make new questions to Mr Andy :

"does the new version of Native client support and compatible with my windows 7 OS 32 bits ?
and deos the new version of Native client support the special browsers that i use ?
i means these special updated browsers compatible with my windiws 7 os 32 bits ?

-You need to check the log during installation. Do you get errors?

-When I click install.bat, a window appears briefly and then disappears abruptly. I can't see any details or logs because the window disappears very quickly.

When I click check installation in the Open in VLC page, a red message appears:

"Cannot find the native client. Proceed with the instructions for installing the native client:

Specified native messaging host not found."

I tried Cat Catch by choosing VLC instead of PotPlayer, and I got a VLC error message.

I'll try with Firefox fork and Firefox Nightly.

My sister gave me her Windows 11 laptop to do some work on. Her laptop is very slow, but I'm going to try installing Native Client and Open in VLC in Windows 11 OS and I'll try if I get any errors. If not, I have nothing to lose; I'll contact the developers of PotPlayer and VLC. Thanks :)"

Update : i can't install the new version of native client of Open in vlc extension, because it seems not compatible with my windows 7 os, but according to the changelog of Open in vlc, Open in vlc can preview videosjs object/netutv

Can you please confirm whether great Cat Catch can technically preview videojs object/netutv or not, and whether the problem is related to the extension or the VLC and PotPlayer media players?

I would like technical confirmation from you, please, because I plan to open an issue in the VLC forum and send an email to PotPlayer developeri if you give me this confirmation, it will be my trump card to tell media players developer that the problem is caused by media players and not by the extension.
