Postcard. Horizontal accuracy excessive when in RTK Float #676
Description
As reported in this Forum post:
the horizontal accuracy display can be excessive (~4m) when the LG290P goes into RTK Float.
The display is showing the PQTMEPE estimated 2D positioning error. This value can be very different to the Latitude & Longitude 1-sigma error reported in GPGST and shown in Apps like SWMaps.
Proposed fix:
In the LG290P library, if the firmware is version 4 or greater, make get2DError and get3DError report the RMS of the (latitude, longitude) and (latitude, longitude, height) errors from GST instead of the 2D and 3D errors from PQTMEPE.
