Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe:
I hope you're doing well. I’d like to suggest a feature enhancement for Prowler: the ability to export findings reports directly in PDF format.
This feature would greatly benefit security teams who need to share or archive assessment results in a standardized and easily distributable format—especially for clients, audits, or internal reviews.
Thanks for all your work on such a great tool, and I appreciate your consideration of this request.
Solution Proposed
A clear and concise description of what you want to happen:
I propose adding an option to export Prowler findings reports in PDF format. This could be achieved by using a library like reportlab for PDF generation. The report should include:
Summary of findings
Details on each check, including status, check ID, resource affected, region, severity, compliance and remediations
Proper formatting, such as grouped sections based on severity or AWS service
Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered:
Currently, the only way to export findings is through JSON, CSV, or screen output, which may not be ideal for formal report distribution. A native PDF export would streamline this process without relying on external tools to convert existing formats.

Hi @paripuranam,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. This is a feature that has been requested several times by other users of Prowler, and we believe it is an excellent idea. It is already included in our roadmap, which you can view here, and currently stands as one of the most upvoted items in our backlog. This increases the likelihood of it being implemented soon, although at this moment, I’m unable to provide a specific timeline.
As soon as we begin development on this feature, I’ll reach out to keep you updated.
We truly appreciate your input and your help in making Prowler better.
Feel free to vote for your favorite features on the roadmap to help prioritize them and speed up their release.
