Create Issue

Create Issue

Context: We need to test that the report issuance command introduced in #9 is working and is getting all the correct information from the user.

Requirements

  1. Install the Python extension from here: https://pvsc.blob.core.windows.net/extension-builds/ms-python-insiders.vsix

Testing

  1. Open a python file, and ensure that Python Extension is activated.
  2. Open the command palette (ctrl + shift + p) and search for Python: Report Issue Command.
  3. The issue reporter window will open with some pre-filled information.
    1. Python Extension source already selected.
    2. Steps to Reproduce field will have the Extension Issue Report Template with:
      1. Python version.
      2. Type of virtual environment used.
      3. Value of the python.languageServer.
      4. User Settings
  4. Try creating different virtual environments and also changing the language Server. Reopen the Report Issue Command and check if the new information is correct.
