@ character in code block renders poorly in tooltip

Steps to Reproduce:

When having this chunk of source code:

 * cursor?: CursorClass | null;
 * ````
 */

VSCode renders as this:

It should render as this:

Please update the issue title. Ampersand means &. The character @ is the At sign.

By the way, this behavior is observed only if there are no characters other than a space before the @ symbol.
