Remaining part of confusion for newcomers is haskell-indent. As far as I understand there is only one missing feature in haskell-indentation before we will be able to remove old mode, this is #1027.

There are reasons to keep haskell-indent as long as haskell-indentation does not fully support all needed constructs.
