Description
We might want to also consider this for expired assets, too.
Customer sometimes has licenses that have fully expired, but they want to keep being reminded that the license needs to be renewed, even after it expires.
There are a few ways of doing this of differing difficulties.
- We can add a command-line parameter to the artisan script that changes some of the behavior
- We can add a setting that says for how long after a license has expired (and/or an asset Warranty?) that we should keep sending notifications. Maybe set to
nullfor "forever" and0for "never". (When created, set the default to 'zero' to keep the existing functionality). - We can add a
.envvar that sets how long after expiration that we should keep alerting - We can make it always do that - you have to delete the license (or "something"?) to make it stop pestering you.
Honestly, as I'm listing out the options, number two seems like the best user-experience, at the cost of having to add yet another setting to the settings table.
