fastapi handling dicom image upload

Good day,

I'm a new user for fastapi and need help for handling of dicom images uploads to fastapi.

app = FastAPI()


@app.get("/")
async def root():
    return {"message": "Hello World"}

def read_image(data):
    ds = pydicom.dcmread(io.BytesIO(data))
    img_array = ds.pixel_array
    return img_array


@app.post("/uploadfile/")
async def create_upload_file(file : UploadFile):
    img = read_image(await file.read())

    return img

these exact lines works with the ususal image types (png , jpeg,....)
with dicom, deliver this error

Hi @Alisoltan82,

Can you please provide more details? Are you using MONAI Label?
FastAPI is a web framework for building APIs. I'm not sure what you mean by upload to fastapi? Are you trying to upload an image to the DICOMWeb server?
